PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light quantity controller, whose outside diameter is made comparatively small and by which a blade member surely opens and closes at high speed, in the periphery of the optical axis of a photographing lens part. SOLUTION: This light quantity controller is constituted, by arranging a first base plate which possesses an optical axis aperture and to which at least two driving means are attached and a shutter blade on the first base plate, and next laying over a diaphragm blade and a second base plate through an intermediate inclusion board in this order; and the first base plate is provided with a projected guide by which the shutter blade is slid and guided, and an inclined surface by which an interval with the intermediate interposed plate is timely made narrow is formed in the vicinity of the close area and/or in the vicinity of the open area of the projected guide; the shutter blade is constituted by laying over at least two blade members in an up-and- down direction; the projected guide is constituted of a first guide member to guide the blade of an overlapping upper side and a second guide member to guide the blade of an overlapping lower side; and the inclined surface is formed at the second guide member, so that the rebounding of the shutter blade at opening/closing operation is prevented.
