PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guard arm lock with a face, by which the operation of a guard arm device in an indoor section can be started and released from the outdoor side and which can also be posterorlly attached to an existing door. SOLUTION: A housing hole 19 is formed into a housing 18 attached on the internal surface of the door under a face state, and the first coil spring 20 and an engaging lever 16 are housed into the housing hole in a freely forwarding and retracting manner. Inclined grooves in the axial direction are formed on both sides of the engaging lever 16. Engaging pieces at the front ends of a pair of sliders 30 are linked with the inclined grooves, and arms for operating pieces capable of being rotated by duplicate-key operation from the outside of the door are brought into contact with the sliders 30. The engaging lever 16 is moved between the place of locking and the place of unlocking by the elastic force of the first coil spring 20 and the rotary operation of the operating pieces.
