PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly cope with an abnormal state such as a defective article and erroneous delivery caused in a distribution process of an article, to control up to the most downstream enterprise from the most upstream enterprise in an optimal state as one distribution system, and to surely clarify where the responsibility lies for receiving the article. SOLUTION: A data carrier 1 having a rewrite area capable of repeating recording and erasing operation of visually observable information by a prescribed frequency or more is prepared as an information transmitting means. The upstream enterprise 8 attaches the data carrier 1 recording shipment information and delivery information by QR encoding to a container 12 at shipment time of a commodity. A delivery enterprise 10 delivers the commodity on the basis of a result of reading the delivery information stored in the data carrier 1. The downstream enterprise 9 confirms the received commodity by reading the delivery information recorded in the data carrier 1, and records received information including a receipt responsible person code preknown by the upstream enterprise 8 in the data carrier 1 by the QR coding, and attaches the data carrier 1 to the container 12 to be sent back to the upstream enterprise 8.
