PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide particles whose bonding effect with the living body can be improved, and to provide an electrode member for producing the particles and its production method. SOLUTION: The particles consists of, by weight, 0.001 to 0.10% calcium and 0.04 to 4.8% silicon and the balance substantially titanium or a titanium alloy. The electrode member 12, which is the stock for producing the particles by adopting a rotary electrode method, is a powder metallurgy material at least containing titanium or the titanium alloy, calcium and silicon.
