PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stretch-type shadow mask having excellent magnetic shielding property and low creep elongation. SOLUTION: The stretch-type shadow mask for cathode-ray tube is composed of an iron-base sheet having a composition containing, by mass, 0.020-0.100% C, 0.10-0.40% Mn, 0.01-0.03% Si, 0.001-0.020% P, 0.001-0.020% S, 0.001-0.008% N and other inevitable elements. In this iron-base sheet, reduction in tensile strength after stress-relieving annealing or blackening treatment is <=20% and tensile strength after the heat treatment is >=600 N/mm2.
