PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gelling agent which can gel a wide range of organic media and can enlarge the molecule of the gel in a state holding a gel state by the irradiation of ultraviolet light on the gel thermally dissolved and formed in an organic solvent, because of containing a polymerizable functional group at the molecular terminal. SOLUTION: This gelling agent having an amino acid derivative segment and a polymerizable functional group, especially a new polymerizable functional group-containing alkylene amide derivative having a special structure represented by formula (1) [(n) is an integer of 2 to 30; A1 and A2 are each CH(CH3)2 or the like; B1 and B2 are each CONH(CH2)20COC(CH3)=CH2 or the like; (m1) and (m2) are each 1 or 2].
