PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently harden an ultraviolet ray curing type resin without using an ultraviolet ray lamp of especially high output by improving transmission coefficient of ultraviolet ray. SOLUTION: In the ultraviolet ray irradiation method, a coated wire-shaped body made by applying the ultraviolet ray curing type resin around the wire-shaped body is made to pass into a cylindrical body and the ultraviolet ray curing type resin is hardened by irradiating the wire-shaped body in a coating state with the ultraviolet ray from the ultraviolet ray lamp disposed outside the tubular body by transmission through the tubular body. A manufacturing method of the wire-shaped body covered with the hardened resin is distinguished by that the ultraviolet ray curing type resin is hardened by irradiating the coated wire-shaped body with ultraviolet ray by using an ultraviolet ray irradiating device containing titanium dioxide in a surface of the cylindrical body under a condition, in which irradiation of the ultraviolet ray is executed by making the inside of the cylindrical body an atmosphere of oxygen concentration of >=1% and not above that in air before beginning of product manufacturing or only during manufacturing a defective product part and an atmosphere of oxygen concentration of <=1% during products manufacturing.
