METHOD FOR PRODUCING ORGANIC PIGMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic pigment having excellent coloring power, clarity, and hue which can easily be made from an organic pigment semi-crude with good productivity by a simple method having a smaller number of steps at a lower energy cost than the conventional method without using a large amount of an organic solvent and inorganic salts. SOLUTION: An organic pigment semi-crude is subjected to dry mixing and stirring in an atmosphere of an organic solvent to be made into a pigment. It is sufficient that the amount of the organic solvent is at least 1 wt/% and less than 50 wt.% based on the weight of the organic semi-crude. This method is a very simple and low-cost method for the production of an organic pigment compared to the conventional method.
