PURPOSE: An overspeed preventing device of a vehicle is provided to prevent overspeed by alarming with sound while the vehicle is traveled over an established speed. CONSTITUTION: An overspeed preventer of a vehicle comprises a switch(20) selecting use of an overspeed preventer; a controlling unit(30) establishing a warning speed; a key pad inputting demanded vehicle speed; a display(32) checking an input vehicle speed; a vehicle speed selecting button selecting desired vehicle speed by memorizing the vehicle speed input through the key pad; an acceleration button(35) increasing the established speed; a deceleration button(36) decreasing the established speed; a storing button(37) storing the established speed; a cancel button(38) releasing the memory of the speed; a comparing unit comparing the established speed of the control unit with an actual speed of an engine electronic control unit; and a buzzer control unit operating a buzzer.
