PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press which is provided with a press frame having reciprocating means and also an upper and lower yokes which can mutually reciprocate such as a bending press and a deep drawing press. SOLUTION: In the press, the lower and upper yokes have tools which respectively cooperate with each other, and a forming means having at least one wedge pair is arranged between the yoke and the tool. Further, the forming means has a plurality of wedge pairs which are distributed and placed in the length direction of the yoke between the york and the tool. The wedge pairs have respective adjusting means for adjusting the mutual position of two wedges of the wedge pair.
