PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the porous filter body, which has heat resistance, is capable of sintered-molding without needs of sintering and molding at high temperatures and under high pressures, and excellent in porosity and dynamical strength. SOLUTION: The porous filter body is obtained by heating and sintering fine powders of polyetherimide resin in a prescribed form at a temperature higher than the softening point of the resin.
