The roof rack has one leg (3) shorter than the other (2), the hook profile (8) associated with the short leg being joined to a swing arm (11) on the outside of the short leg and joined to the short leg via a link (12), so that this hook profile forms an extension of the short leg. A self-locking centering device mounted in a holder (16) fixed to the short leg is used to fix the hook profile into position. The roof rack comprises a beam (1) with two legs (2, 3) at either end, which are oriented at an angle to each other. Both legs are provided with hook profiles, one hook profile (7) being rigidly fixed to the associated leg (2). The other leg is movable between two end positions where its associated hook profile is either released from the roof edge (9) or fixed to the roof edge using a clamping mechanism (13). |
