PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight of a pneumatic safety tire with a core consisting of a tube arranged inside the tire by adopting a measure to advantageously prevent the tube from going flat when travel is continued after the tire goes flat and omitting a protective layer on the tube. SOLUTION: The pneumatic safety tire has a core 3 consisting of an annular tube arranged in a space delimited between a hollow doughnutlike tire 1 and a rim 2 mounted with the tire 1, in separation from the inner circumference of the tire. The core 3 has foam 7 consisting of a matrix and closed cells at least in a radially outward interior region thereof.
