PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive recording body which does not generate ground color development even when ink-jet recording is performed on the same plane as a heat-sensitive recording layer and has both heat-sensitive recording characteristics and ink-jet recording characteristics. SOLUTION: The heat-sensitive recording body containing 3- [(phenylamino) carbonyl]amino}benzene sulfoneamide as a developer and with an absorption factor Ka to water based on the Bristow method (J.TAPPI paper and pulp test method No.51-87) of 0.30 ml/m2.ms1/2 or larger is provided.
