PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer and a program product for controlling the same capable of reducing a time period required for printing as a whole by considering a partition of a print job in the printing of a set of plural pages. SOLUTION: In the printing of a set of n pages, when it is confirmed that a page of which the preparation for the printing is completed is the last one in the print job, the printing to the page is immediately executed without waiting for the preparation for the printing of the next page. It is preferable that after it is judged that the page of which the preparation for the printing is completed is the last page in the print job, the waiting for the next print job is executed and when the next print job is not received by a time after a predetermined time interval, the printing until the page is executed. |
