PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost deodorizing and cleaning element which can improve the rate of irradiation with UV rays for cracking the odorous components captured in catalysts and can improve the efficiency of contact of air with photocatalysts, and a deodorizing and cleaning unit using the same as well as a deodorizing and cleaning system using the same. SOLUTION: Photocatalyst materials PC which consist of metallic fibers as a base material and are deposited with titanium oxide are sealed into the spaces 2 formed of first and second net-like members 3A and 3B and holder materials 1. The first and second net-like members 3A and 3B are mounted at the holder members 1 by spot welding. As a result, the man-hours for assembling the deodorizing and cleaning element 5 may be decreased and a low-cost element may be provided. The efficiently of the irradiation with the UV rays to bring about photoreaction may be improved and the efficiently of the contact of the air with the catalysts may be improved as well. |
