PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an X-ray CT apparatus to safely and easily obtain desired CT images irrespective of troubles with one system of X-ray detector rows. SOLUTION: In the X-ray CT apparatus, an X-ray tube 40 and an X-ray detector array 70 having first and second detector rows A and B are opposed to each other across a subject 100 and CT images of the subject 100 are reconstructed on the basis of detection signals of the X-ray detector array 70. The apparatus includes a collimator means 1 capable of applying the exposure beams of the X-ray tube 40 to the first and second detector rows (A*B or A/B) of the X-ray detector array 70, and a control means 2 for normally controlling the two-row scanning and reading of the subject 100 by use of the first and second detector rows (A*B) and for controlling the one-row scanning and reading of the subject 100 by use of the second or first (B/A) detector row upon a failure of the first or second detector row (A/B). |
