PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To notify a user on which color of ink an ink is ended, in a manner to be easily understandable. SOLUTION: This printer 10 has ink cartridges 30 to 35 of six colors comprising black, yellow, magenta, cyan, light cyan, and light magenta. On the ink cartridges 30 to 35, seals 30a to 35d indicating that its ink has ended are respectively pasted. When an error that ink is ended on either one of the ink cartridges 30 to 35, a carriage is moved to locations A to F respectively. At the locations A to F, the user can observe the seals 30a to 35a only corresponding to the ink cartridge which has ended the ink respectively. The other seals are shielded with a printer cover 14. |
