PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thixo-mold forming method, having good formability with which magnesium alloy chips having the stable weight can be supplied into a forming machine regardless of the shape of the magnesium alloy chip. SOLUTION: The bulk density is obtained by filling the magnesium alloy chips 7 having the weight M into a fixed volume having the length L, the width W and the height H. The magnesium alloy chip 7 having the regulated value to this bulk density, is selected, and the thixo-mold is formed into a target shape by using the selected magnesium alloy chip 7.
