PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily install a food waste treating plant for a food concerning undertaker at low cost with a saved space. SOLUTION: The food waste treating plant is composed of a cogeneration plant 3 comprising a micro gas turbine 7 or a fuel cell and a waste gas boiler 9 and a compost plant 5 formed by unitizing a package device 21 for packaging a hopper 11 storing food waste temporarily, a crusher 13, a steam drying and sterilizing device 15, a compost storage vessel 17 and a compost 19, the micro gas turbine 7 or the fuel cell in the cogeneration plant 3 and the waste gas boiler 9 are housed in a 1st plant casing 21, the hopper, the crusher and the steam drying and sterilizing device in the compost plant 5 are unitized and housed in a 2nd plant casing 23 and the compost storage vessel and the package device are unitized and housed in a 3rd plant easing 25.
