PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a driving section of an electric wheelchair that does not require formation of a flange for attaching a sporks to a hub even if a driving unit is located in the hub in the center of a wheel and therefore can be downsized and made lightweight. SOLUTION: A hub 20 is a structure of an internal hollow 24, the vehicle side of which is opened, and a driving unit 17 is contained in the internal hollow 24 with the peripheral side 25a of the container 25 of the gear speed change mechanism 19 of the driving unit 17 adjoining the inside periphery 20a of the hub and the driving force output axle 26 of the driving unit 17 is fixed to the center of the side of the hub 20 opposite to the vehicle.
