PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve cotter assembly inspecting device which is used for fitting a cotter and also inspecting a valve cotter assembly and the structure the assembly head part of which is also simplified. SOLUTION: In fitting the two-piece housing cotter 6 housed in the center hole 3a of a retainer 3 into the ring shape groove 7 formed in a valve stem 2, the improvement comprising the fitting of the cotter 6 into the ring shape groove 7 by the cooperation of a cotter pressurizing section 13 and a probe 41 by driving a first drive section D1 and then verifying the securing state of the cotter 6 by operating the probe 41.
