SOLUTION: The method for retreading comprises the steps of detecting a deviation amount (d) of a position of a necessary length of a tread from a distal end of a vulcanized tread member continued in a band-like state and vulcanized and molded from a predetermined position of the pattern to be cut near the same position as the position of the necessary length of the tread, cutting the member at the predetermined position of the pattern, substantially uniformly giving a tension or a compression to the tread member Tpc cut so as to eliminate the deviation amount (d), winding the member Tpc on the outer periphery of a trapezoidal tire T3 while regulating the length of the tread, and connecting the front end and the rear end of the wound member Tpc.
