PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pectate lyase which is useful for a detergent, a food processing agent, a fiber treating agent, etc., and can be produced uniformly in a large amount by using a gene encoding a pectate lyase. SOLUTION: This pectate lyase gene has a specific amino acid sequence derived from a bacterium of the genus Bacillus or an amino acid sequence in which one or several amino acids are deleted, substituted or added in the amino acid sequence. This gene encodes the pectate lyase. This recombinant vector contains the gene. This transformant contains the recombinant vector and is obtained from a host being a bacterium. |
