PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely detect the stopping position and manually thresh grain culms reaped at a butt in an apparatus for stopping a feed chain of a threshing device for preventing threshed waste straws from depositing on the soil surface by detecting the stoppage of a machine body when carrying out reaping operation of a combine harvester, etc. SOLUTION: This apparatus for stopping the feed chain 3 of the combine harvester, etc., is characterized by arranging a rotation sensor 7 for detecting the number of revolutions of an optional transmission shaft 6 in a transmission case 5 for traveling in order to confirm the stopping position and stopping the feed chain 3 during turning OFF of a front grain culm sensor 8 and traveling of the machine body 4 through a prescribed distance though the feed chain 3 is not stopped when the front grain culm sensor 8 arranged on the front side of a reaping device 1 and capable of detecting the presence or absence of transported grain culms by ON and OFF is turned OFF as a rule in the combine harvester, etc., capable of stopping the feed chain 3 for nipping and transporting the grain culms reaped with the reaping device 1 and fed to the threshing device 2 and carrying out the threshing when the machine body 4 is stopped.
