ELECTRODE ARRANGEMENT FOR SHOCK WAVE SOURCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode arrangement capable of being used at a low cost and needing less maintenance work. SOLUTION: The electrode arrangement for generating shock waves by an electric discharge between electrode tips (12 and 13). This arrangement is particularly suitable for use as an ESWT(extracorporal shock wave lithotripsy) or as electrodes in an apparatus for treating (ESWT) according to external shock waves. In this disposition, at least one electrode tip (12, 13) is arranged replaceable at a relating electrode holder (14, 15), and the tip and the holder have a shape to be engaged with each other to correspond to realize mutual locking. This allows a user to very economically replace tips.
