PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a casting film having no streaks or wrinkles on its surface and excellent in optical capacity. SOLUTION: In a solution casting method for obtaining a resin film by casting a solution, which is prepared by dissolving a resin component in a solvent, on a support comprising a thermoplastic resin and drying the cast solution under heating to form a film and peeling this film from the support, when the surface temperature of the support during drying under heating begins to exceed the Tg of the support, a temperature region lower than Tg is provided.
