PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the atomized particle size of a liquid ejected from a liquid jet device to thinly and uniformly apply a small amount of the liquid on the surface of a member. SOLUTION: A liquid chamber 34 filled with a liquid is arranged adjacent to a range including a nozzle group area in which a group of a plurality of nozzle orifices 32 for ejecting a liquid is perforated and the liquid in the liquid chamber 34 is pressurized by pressing the part of the liquid chamber 34 by an actuator 22 so that the reduction amount of the volume of the liquid chamber 34, when the part of the liquid chamber 34 is once pressed by the actuator 22, becomes equal to the amount of the liquid ejected once from the group of the nozzle orifices 32, to atomize the liquid from the group of the nozzle orifices 32 of the liquid jet device. By reducing the movable mass of the part 5 moved by the actuator 22, the energy loss at the time of driving by the actuator 22 is reduced to enable operation at a higher frequency.
