PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for steaming grains mainly in enzymatic industry or brewing industry. SOLUTION: This method and apparatus for steaming grains accompanying preliminary heating by heated air comprises providing a horizontal continuous steaming device 1 which brings heated air into contact with grains subjected to hydrolyzing treatment and evaporates water on the surface of grains and provides an air permeable belt 4, providing a blowing chamber 7 on the rear side of the belt 4 which closely comes into contact with the under side of a hopper 3 of the horizontal continuous boiling device 1 and connecting a blowing fan 10 for connecting a heater 9 and a blowing fan 10 for feeding heated air to the blowing chamber 7. |
