<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head satisfactorily stuck with a face member when welding the face member to a head body which is swelled outward at a side section and increased in capacity and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The face member is welded to the face side opening section of the head body swelled outward at the side section to form a hollow metal head. At least the toe side of the side section is formed thinner than the face member, at least the toe side of the toe side and the heel side of the face member is embedded in the face side opening section of the head body, and its toe side peripheral edge section is welded on the front side of the head body. The top side and the sole side of the face member are made to abut on the head body on the peripheral edge of the face side opening section, and the top and sole side peripheral edge sections are welded on the upper and lower sides of the head body.</p> |
