<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for taking out a urethral stent which can be easily taken out through the urethra. SOLUTION: The coiled urethral stent consisting of a shape memory alloy indwelt in the urethra is lowered in temperature by injection of cold water down to the Af point or below of the shape memory alloy, by which the urethral stent is formed to a cylindrical shape made finer by stretching, thus the urethral stent is taken out of the urethra. The Af point of the shape memory alloy is set at 41 to 43 deg.C.</p> |
