PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize miniaturization and an efficient ink supply recovery step. SOLUTION: This device comprises a main tank C103, a waste ink storing means C107, and a media pack C100 provided detachably with respect to a printer main body. On the printer main body side, a sub tank B400 for taking an ink into the inside from an ink intake part by a negative pressure introduced from a negative pressure introduction part, a cap B310 for capping an ink ejection opening of a recording head, cylinder pump B410 having a cylinder main body connected with a cap member via an air suctioning chamber connectable with the negative pressure introduction part and an input port, and an ink suctioning chamber connectable with a waste ink storing means via an output port, sectioned by a piston, and a port switching means for switching between the input port and the output port according to movement of the piston, and a driving controlling means for moving the piston of the cylinder pump, switching the port switching means, and executing attaching or separating drive of interlocking parts, are provided. |
