PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to extremely easily and simultaneously make a sebum check of the forehead, the nose, and the cheeks to immediately judge a skin type to recommend cosmetics suitable for the skin type and a sebum check sheet used therefor. SOLUTION: A sebum check sheet 1 which comprises a sheet material which changes color when brought in contact with the skin and has a size to simultaneously cover four sites of the forehead, the nose and the cheeks is put on the forehead of a customer to press at least sheet parts in contact with the four sites of forehead, nose, right and left cheeks and pressed against the face surface to transfer the sebum on the face surface to the sheet. Then, the sheet is put off from the face surface and a color change condition by the transferred sebum is observed. The skin of the customer is identified which kind the skin belongs to four of oily skin, oily dry skin, normal skin, and dry skin so that cosmetics suitable for the skin is recommended.
