PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently clean a floor. SOLUTION: A cleaning pad 32 is fixed to a pad holder 31. A foundation 33 of the cleaning pad 32 is tufted with a twisted yarn comprising a spun yarn of cotton of 80 wt.% and a nylon filament of 20 wt.% to form a fiber layer 34 of a thickness of approximately 1 cm on the surface of the foundation cloth 33. A backing material 35 of felt is arranged on the undersurface of the foundation cloth 33. The pad holder 31 has first holes 36 and the cleaning pad 32 has second holes 37. The holes 36 and the holes 37 are in mutual communication.
