PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly change a lifting and lowering speed of a paddy field operation apparatus depending on a field condition. SOLUTION: This paddy field operation apparatus is equipped with a machine type automatically lifting and lowering control means which maintains a set height of an paddy field operation apparatus from the surface of the rice field by operating a lifting and lowering valve 16 based on a displacement of a ground sensor following fluctuations in ground pressure by mechanically linking and connecting the ground sensor attached to the paddy field operation apparatus to the lifting and lowering valve 16 of a hydraulic apparatus for driving and lifting and lowering the paddy field operation apparatus, with a lifting and lowering lever 18 for freely changing an operation position for allowing the operation of the lifting and lowering valve 16 based on the displacement of the ground sensor to a rising position for forcibly operating the lifting and lowering valve 16 in a rising state, with a rising limit setting means for adjusting a displacement limit of the lifting and lowering valve 16 to a rising side and with a flexible means for allowing the operation of the lifting and lowering lever 18 to a rising position in a state in which the lifting and lowering valve 16 is located at a displacement limit set by the rising limit setting means and controlled in an operation to the rising side.
