PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a vibration-damping function member based on a thermotropic liquid crystal copolyester, showing excellent energy absorbing efficiency and effective for a damping measure vibration absorbing measure, a noise measure, a sound absorbing measure or the like. SOLUTION: A mold 7 is constituted of the mold main body 6 for molding the outer shape of the vibration-damping member and a plurality of the rotary bodies 2 built in the mold main body 6. By rotating the respective rotary bodies 2 during a process for passing a film gate 3 through the mold 7 to fill the mold 7 with the thermotropic liquid polymer 4, the polymer 4 in the mold 7 is rotated by the surfaces of the rotary bodies 2. By this constitution, shearing stress is generated in the polymer 4 within the mold 7 and strong orientation is generated up to a core layer where no molecular orientation is generated usually in the polymer. In the molded vibration-damping function member, the applied vibration is converted to heat energy efficiently by the kinetic energy due to the friction between oriented molecules to be consumed.
