PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium by which high density recording can be performed by a laser light with a wave length in the range of 390-440 nm and a new method for optical recording of information. SOLUTION: An optical information recording medium provided with a recording layer containing a coloring matter compound and a boron compound which absorbs the laser light with a wave length in the range of 390-440 nm and emits a free radial is provided. In this optical information recording medium, information can be recorded by irradiating it with a laser light with a short wave length to emit free radicals from the boron compound and providing chemical change or physical change by these free radicals to change refractive index of the recording layer. |
