<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horticultural trimming machine, such as a hedge trimmer, for trimming the branches and leaves of garden plants, hedges, or the like, devised so that an electric source cord for supplying an electric power to the trimming machine is accidentally not cut with a trimming blade during a trimming work. SOLUTION: This horticultural trimming machine comprising a main body equipped with a handle, a blade member in which trimming blades are formed in a comb tooth-like shape, an electrically driving means which is disposed in the main body and which is used for reciprocating the blade member, and an electric source cord which is lead out from the main body and used for supplying the electric power to the electrically driving means, characterized by disposing a flexible protection member comprising a bellow-like pipe at the suitable place of the electric source cord. The outer diameter of the protecting member is preferably about 0.7 to about 2 times the pitch of the trimming blades.</p> |
