PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiring material capable of improving harmful exhaust component by using for the electric negative wiring of an internal combustion engine, particularly of a diesel internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: The negative terminal 1b of a battery 1 is connected to each system part through wiring materials 21 to 29 with low resistivity to effectively remove a back electromotive force and a static electricity produced between the parts of the fuel systems 5, 6, and 7a to 7f, 8a to 8f and the parts of the intake and exhaust systems 9, 11, and 12 of a diesel engine so as to increase a combustion efficiency and reduce the harmful exhaust component. The wiring material is formed by nickel-plating a copper wire to realize the improvement of the harmful exhaust component at a low cost. When the wiring material is formed by nickel-plating a copper wire of 0.1 to 5 mm in diameter, the wiring operation can be facilitated. Also, the wiring material is formed by twisting a plurality of nickel-plated copper wires, the resistivity is more reduced, harmful exhaust component is improved, and the combustion efficiency is increased.
