PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive system changeover device for a four wheel drive vehicle capable of immediately judging which condition (change-over position) the vehicle is currently by one glance or touching with a hand. SOLUTION: This drive system change-over device for the four wheel drive vehicle has a first selector switch 21 change-over between a 4WD condition and a 2WD condition, a second selector switch 22 changing over between a differential lock condition and the 4WD condition, and a shielding piece 23 movable to a first position where the first selector switch 21 is covered and the second selector switch 22 is exposed and a second position where the first selector switch 21 is exposed and the second selector switch 22 is covered. As for the shielding piece 23, its travel from the second position to the first position is prevented while the first selector switch 21 is changed over to a 2WD position, its travel from the second position to the first position is allowed while the first selector switch 21 is changed over to a 4WD position, its travel from the first position to the second position is prevented while the second selector switch 22 is changed over to a differential lock position, and its travel from the first position to the second position is allowed while the second selector switch 22 is changed over to the 4WD position.
