PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform image processing being suitable for various kinds of printing media which can be fed by a simple operation in a printer wherein an expendable material housing container for the printer to feed a printing medium is detachable, or a digital camera which is integrally equipped with the printer. SOLUTION: An information storage means (1101) is provided in the expendable material housing container (C100) for the printer. Also, on the printer, a means (1102) to receive applicable information while cooperating with the printer is provided. In addition, a means (1105) which analyzes the received information and determines an optimal image processing method to perform a printing on a printing medium (paper) is provided. In a system which is constituted by combining them, the optimal image processing is automatically applied based on the information stored in the expendable material housing container for the printer.
