PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upward-movement preventing member for a transparent plate in a pachinko game machine which can easily and reliably prevent a transparent plate such as glass plate from being unfairly raised from the front side of the machine. SOLUTION: The upward-movement preventing member 30 is provided to prevent glass plates 20a, 20b which are fitted in a left and right groove frames 21, 22 of a groove frame member provided to fit the glass plates 20a, 20b on the rear side of a transparent plate holding frame 5. The member 30 includes a base body rod 31 comprising a planar metal bar and having such width as to be insertable between the plates 20a, 20b, engaging pieces 32, 32, which are formed by downwardly bending the opposite ends of the rod 31 in such a manner that the pieces 32, 32 are inserted respectively into groove frames 21, 22 from above so as to be elastically engaged with the outer surfaces of the frames 21, 22 respectively, and a restricting piece 33 which is located at the center of the top side of the rod 31 to prevent the upward-movement of the plates 20a, 20b.
