PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner which is high in dust collecting performance, lightweight and excellent in usability for three-dimensional cleaning of a ceiling, a wall surface, a floor, etc., in particular. SOLUTION: The cleaner consists of a suction port body 44 incorporating an electric brush, a main body 20 incorporating an electric blower, a dust collecting case 32 fitted to the main body 20 and a conductive extension pipe 23 for connecting the body 44 and the main body 20. The total mass of the main body 20 and the case 32 is <=1 kg and the mass of the body 44 is <=1/5 of the total mass of the main body 20 and the case 32. Thus, it is possible to clean even the ceiling, the wall surface, etc., by the electric blower 21 of a comparatively small power without deteriorating the dust collecting performance by utilizing the raking-up force of an electric brush 47 without being bothered by the weight of the cleaner.
