PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for providing a seal member to the surface of a base material to easily manufacture a high accurate product, wherein the seal member is provided to the surface of the base material, having an accurately formed outer contour shape even if the seal member itself provided to the base material has a narrow or low dimension. SOLUTION: In the method for providing the seal member (2) to the single surface of at least the base material (1), a mold (3) having the recessed groove (31), which corresponds to the outer contour shape of the seal member (2) and to which release treatment is applied, is prepared and, after the raw material (21) of the seal member preliminarily adjusted in viscosity is interposed between the surface of the base material and the recessed groove to which release treatment is applied of the mold, the recessed groove is filled with the seal member while the base material is pressed to the mold to shape the seal material into a predetermined shape and, after the seal member is cured, the cured member is demolded to be provided to the surface of the base material. |
