PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply an ink follower, the performance variability from production lot to production lot of which is suppressed to minimum and which has a stable quality without employing special additive and base oil. SOLUTION: The viscosity of the ink follower is prepared that the value of n in viscosity formula: S=μDn (in which S is viscosity, D is shearing speed, μis non-Newtonian viscosity coefficient and n is non-Newtonian viscosity index) is 0.3 to 0.8 when the measured results of the viscosity of the ink follower at arbitrary two or more measuring points within the shearing speed region of 1 to 200 sec-1 are applied to the viscosity formula. Further, the follower demonstrates a remarkably excellent performance when it is employed to a ball pen, the ink efflux rate of which is 40 mg or more per 100 m at an oil- based ball point pen and 100 mg or more per 100 m at a water-based ball point pen. |
