PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deaeration type drying machine which rapidly dries quilts, etc., and completely kills ticks, roundworms and bacteria adhered to matter to be dried. SOLUTION: When the materials to be dried are housed into a drum and operation is started, a valve 8 and a valve 9 open and air is sucked by a blower 1. This air is heated by a heater 2 and is supplied to the drying drum 6. In addition, ozonized air is fed therein by an ozone generator. A movable upper lid 7 is inflated up to its upper limit by the heated air. The air in the drying drum is discharged by an exhaust pump without the inhalation of the outdoor air and the air in the materials to be dried is also sucked. The volume of the quits, etc., is reduced to a fraction of their volume. As a result, the air held by the materials to be dried and the air in the drying drum are minimized. The ozonized air and the heated air are sent into the drying drum by operating the ozone generator 3.
