PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten a holding strength of a reclining device by increasing the number of slide balls, here, the reclining device has an operation cam selectively constituting an engaged state or a released state of slide balls against a ratchet, and constituting a stable engaged state due to slide balls held at two points by the operation cam. SOLUTION: A rotation cam 15, selectively constituting an engaged state or a released state of slide balls 13 against a ratchet 12c as an operation cam, is adopted, and a plurality of receiving cam parts 15b, 15c receiving both leg parts 13c, 13d of the slide ball 13, are formed at the outer peripheral part of the rotation cam 15, and it is enabled to arrange more than three pieces of slide balls 13 at the outer periphery side of the rotation cam 15.
