PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hook for clothes, which smoothly moves in a thin shape and is automatically fit with dimensions of waist, etc. SOLUTION: A second hook 60 comprises a slide member 30 with a part engageable with a first hook 50 slidably attached to a guide member and a compression spring 40 usually deviated to a direction which the engaging end of the slide member presses the first hook 50 and has a guide part 23 formed with guide grooves on both edge parts of the base board and a cover part 26 with a space to house a spring member. Both edge parts of the slide base board are slidably supported by guide grooves on the guide part. One end of the coil spring 40 is supported by a projected spring stopper 24 and the other end a projected spring stopper 34 equipped on the slide member 30.
