PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting method and apparatus for Vienna sausages capable of holding down the deterioration, damage, breakage or cutting failure of the Vienna sausages to the minimum. SOLUTION: Prior to cutting each connecting region a of the Vienna sausage long body A having plural Vienna sausages connected to each other to form one Vienna sausage, in order to cut a designated connecting region a of the long body A to be divided into a short body having a fixed number of Vienna sausages connected to each other, the long body A is spirally wound round a pole 20 in the axial direction so that plural lines of a fixed number of Vienna sausages are hung down. Subsequently, the respective connecting regions a of the Vienna sausages corresponding to the fold-back parts at the shaft part of the pole 20 are cut at one time along the axial direction of the pole 20 by a cutter 50.
