PURPOSE:To improve release properties on the occasion of separation of a film from a drum by once removing a residual water film by a prescribed pressing force by using a suction roll of prescribed hardness formed of nonwoven fabric in layers, at a position before a water film is formed and after molten resin is released, in the circumferential direction of the drum. CONSTITUTION:In resin film manufacturing equipment, a water film is formed on the surface of a rotating casting drum 4, sheet-shaped molten resin is supplied onto the water film and a resin film is manufactured. According to a method for forming the water film in this resin film manufacturing equipment, a suction roll 37 which is formed of a number of sheets of nonwoven fabric in layers and of which the Shore hardness of the surface is not less than 25 degrees and not more than 55 degrees is used at a position before the water film is formed and after the sheet-shaped molten resin is released from the drum 4, in the circumferential direction of the drum 4. A residual water film is once removed in the direction along the axis of rotation of the drum 4 by a pressing force not less than 1000N/m and not more than 4000N/m for a unit width. Thereby the residual water film can be removed uniformly. |
